I went to the doctor for my 12 week check-up and got to hear your heartbeat again.  All of the test results officially came back from the second ultrasound and everything seems to be going well.  So, your Daddy finally said it was a good time to let our friends and family know about you!

One of the simplest pleasures I find is cutting flowers from our yard and bringing them inside the house.  We happen to have many rose bushes that bloom almost all summer long.  My Mom gave me this gorgeous rose bowl when I got married this spring and it's such a joy to pull it out with some roses from the garden.

Once I discovered how easy homemade marinara sauce was, I made up another batch, doubling it this time.  I used some for spaghetti and meat sauce the first night and froze a couple more batches for the future.
